  • Therapy is a supportive and collaborative process where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences in a safe, nonjudgmental space. In your first few sessions, your therapist will focus on getting to know you, understanding your goals, and building a strong foundation for your work together.

Over time, therapy can help you gain clarity, develop coping strategies, heal from past experiences, and make meaningful changes in your life. You can expect to be treated with compassion, respect, and confidentiality. Sessions may involve talking through challenges, identifying patterns, learning new skills, and setting goals that align with your values.

Each therapy journey is unique—your experience will be shaped by your needs, preferences, and the pace that feels right for you. Your therapist will walk alongside you, offering guidance and support as you grow, heal, and move forward.

  • The Thrive Center, LLP accepts all major insurance plans. The cost of therapy is determined by the coverage and parameters set by your specific insurance provider.

    • Stress, anxiety, or depression

    • Grief or loss

    • Relationship difficulties

    • Life transitions

    • Past trauma

    • Low self-esteem or lack of motivation

Ultimately, if you’re asking yourself whether therapy could help—you’re already taking a meaningful first step. At The Thrive Center, we’re here to create a safe space for you to explore your goals, experiences, and inner strengths. If you’re unsure, we’re happy to talk with you about what therapy involves and help you decide if it’s the right fit for your needs.

  • There is not set timeline for how often you will meet with your clinician. Each treatment plan is uniquely built to your needs. These needs can change as you progress in treatment.

Generally, sessions are initially weekly until you and the clinician are both understanding of the struggles and you are comfortable with your clinician. When you and/or your clinician feel it is appropriate to move to bi-weekly and then monthly session there will be discussion.

  • It’s completely normal to feel uncertain about where to start. Therapy can feel overwhelming at first, especially if you're unsure which areas to focus on.

Our clinicians are here to help guide you through that process. Together, you’ll explore your experiences, identify areas of struggle, and begin to uncover what matters most to you. You don’t need to have it all figured out to begin—just showing up is a powerful first step.

  • Your first session is an intake appointment, which sets the foundation for your therapeutic journey. During this time, your clinician will review important policies, answer any questions you may have, and begin to explore what brings you into counseling.

This session is also about building a connection—getting to know one another and starting to understand your goals, concerns, and needs. At The Thrive Center, we believe therapy is a collaborative process, and from the very first session, we’re committed to working as a team to support you.
