PSYCHOTHEARPIST
Southern Connecticut State University
Julia is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate with a deep passion for guiding others through life’s most meaningful and vulnerable moments. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Women and Gender Studies and went on to complete her Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy at Southern Connecticut State University in 2023. Her clinical training includes impactful work at Southern Connecticut’s clinic and LifeBridge in Bridgeport, CT.
Julia’s journey into therapy began in high school, where she personally experienced the profound impact that guidance, compassion, and connection can have during challenging times. These formative moments shaped her commitment to offering that same kind of care and support to others—something she considers an immense privilege and responsibility.
Julia specializes in supporting women through life transitions, emotional challenges, and experiences that are unique to the female experience. She also works with individuals and couples facing communication difficulties, intimacy concerns, and relational conflict. Her approach is warm, affirming, and genuine—she creates a safe, personalized space that eases the discomfort of discussing difficult topics and fosters meaningful, lasting change.
Her favorite part of being a therapist is witnessing growth—the shifts, the healing, and the strength that emerge when people begin to find their voice, their power, and their peace. Being a part of that journey is not only fulfilling, but deeply inspiring.
Outside the therapy room, Julia lives by the personal philosophy of “writing her story”—embracing life as it unfolds, building deep connections, and honoring her truest self along the way. She enjoys spending quality time with her large, close-knit family, her fiancé, and their beloved pets. Whether it’s sharing laughter, playing video games, or relaxing with a good book, she finds joy in the little moments. Julia also loves decorating her home to create a warm, welcoming space—a reflection of the heart she brings to her work and her life.
